Fiscal Transparency
Jefferson County is committed to transparent fiscal management. The annual budget is developed through a public process that includes workshops, public hearings, and opportunities for citizen input as required by Florida law.
The county's fiscal year runs from October 1 through September 30. The Board of County Commissioners adopts the annual budget each September following the Truth in Millage (TRIM) public hearing process.
