Land Development Code

The Jefferson County Land Development Code (LDC) establishes the regulations that implement the goals, objectives, and policies of the Comprehensive Plan. The LDC governs zoning districts, development standards, subdivision requirements, environmental protection, signage, and the development review process.

All development activity in unincorporated Jefferson County must comply with the Land Development Code. Applications for development orders, variances, special exceptions, and rezoning are processed through the Planning Department.
