About the Sheriff's Office
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Mac McNeill, provides law enforcement, county jail operations, court security, and civil process services. The office also operates community outreach and crime prevention programs throughout the county.
As a constitutional officer, the Sheriff is independently elected by the citizens of Jefferson County and serves a four-year term. The Sheriff's Office is committed to professional law enforcement and community partnership.
